Cookies n' Cream Cookies

One of my favorite ice cream flavors has always been Cookies n' Cream, and it is one of the most popular flavors out there.  Now how delicious would it been in a cookie form!??!!  Maybe even served with some Cookies n' Cream ice cream!!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 package of instant Oreo pudding mix
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Hershey's Cookies n' Cream candy bars, broken into chunks
2 cups of Oreo cookies, crushed into pieces

Recipe adapted from Food.com

Directions:
(1) Preheat the oven to 350˚F.  In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and both sugars until smooth.  Add in eggs and vanilla mixing until incorporated.

(2) In a separate bowl, mix the instant pudding mix, flour, salt and baking soda.  Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet just until incorporated.

(3) Fold in the Hershey's bar and Oreo cookies.  Scoop 1 1/2 inch balls onto a cookie sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes.

These cookies definitely encompass the flavors of Cookies n' Cream!! I found these to be very decadent and sweet.  This is totally a cookie that would be awesome dunked in a nice cold glass of milk, which my boyfriend totally did.  There are oreos in these cookies and if oreos are good dunked in milk then duh so would these! :)

While I was baking up these wonderful cookies, these lovely cuties came in to see what was baking up in the oven.  Sorry guys it's not doggies treats today, maybe next time.

I will definitely be keeping this recipe on hand for the next time I am craving that Cookies n' Cream flavor but am not looking for ice cream but rather a warm and gooey cookie! MmmMmm!

I was looking at your website last night and all of your recipes look great, I chose this one to make today and they just came out of the oven! Very tasty! I didn't use all 2 of the cookies n' cream candy bars though....only because I couldn't help but eat some of them before I mixed it in the dough : ) Thanks for sharing, will definitely be making these again!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! As long as you watch them and pull them out when they still look a little underdone, they will be soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. Perfect! Hope you enjoy :)

Amish Friendship Bread & Printable Instructions

Click here to download SMALL Batch instructions.    Click here to download FULL Batch instructions. Anybody ever head of this?!?  Well the other day I was in the break room at work getting water and saw three bags of cream colored mush... Now I had seen these bags several weeks back and didn't pay much attention to them, but these strange looking bags were back, so I decided to stop and read the paper attached to them and saw "Amish Friendship Bread" with strange instructions like "Mush the Bag." Well still not really sure what the bag of goo was, I went back to Google, and read up on it.  It is similar to a chain letter, in the sense that once you get it, you must pass 3 more along.  So this bag of mush is really an active yeast mixture that is supposedly passed down from generation to generation steaming only from the Amish. Now I don't know how true this is, but it has definitely been circulating around my office for a month or so now.  Even aft

Pandan Coconut Ice Cream

Pandan , have you ever heard of it? Growing up, I ate many sweets flavored with Pandan, although I didn't really learn what it was until my early 20s. It is a common flavor used in Southeast Asian desserts, similarly to how Vanilla is used in most American baked goods. If you have ever been into an Asian bakery and seen bright green cakes and such, that gorgeous green hue is attributable to Pandan. I ate many green desserts as a child but honestly never knew what that distinct flavor was and always just thought the green color was from food coloring to make things more exciting. However, in my adult years I started to see trendy Asian restaurants serving Pandan flavored desserts, and not until then did I realize I had been eating Pandan my whole life. My sister and I started to become obsessed with ordering beignets with pandan ice cream at one of our local sushi restaurants in Houston. Now that I live in Austin, I don't get to enjoy those delicious pillowy beignets and ice
